The organisers of the 1st Ashbourne CAMRA beer festival would like to thank and acknowledge everyone who battled through the snow to join us and make the festival a great social (if not economic) success. Special praise must go to the volunteer staff who repeatedly came through the snow from places cut off to cars just to help us out and ensure we had enough staff on at all times.
Thanks also to all the suppliers, bands and sound staff who, in many cases, made it to us before the weather really closed in and only set off for home once they had done their bit at the festival. Of course, our thanks are also due to every single member of the public who bothered to venture out and join us for a beer or two. The universally warm comments and praise given to us made it all worthwhile and helped us to decide to do it all again next year, but without that sort of weather, we hope.
Thank you again to everyone, be you a staff member, musician, sound technician, supplier or simply a drinker of fine ales.
